What is the minimum amount of time I can rent a unit for?

Storage units can be rented for as little as one month.

How much notice do I need to provide to rent a unit?

This depends on unit availability and required unit size. Speak to our professionally trained staff, who will be able to assist with your enquiries.

How often can I access my storage unit?

Your unit may be accessed 8.30am to 5pm, Mon to Fri. Sat from 8am to 4pm.

Can anyone else access my unit?

On rental of a unit, customers will be required to supply their own padlock to secure their unit. Padlocks can be purchased from Rushcutters Self Storage. Only those you permit to access your unit will be able to do so.

Is there anything I cannot store?

Laws limit what may and may not be stored at a Self Storage facility. This includes illegal, stolen or dangerous items; live animals and plants; food items; flammable, explosive, perishable, toxic or environmentally hazardous materials. Items needing environmentally controlled conditions should not be stored. Additional information can be easily acquired from our staff at Ruschutters Self Storage.

Are my possessions insured against damage?

Your possessions are valuable and insurance is recommended. Insurance coverage may be purchased through Rushcutters Self Storage. Please speak with Staff to arrange this coverage.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

In line with standard Storage Association of Australasia agreements, a refundable deposit is payable up front.

How can I pay for the storage unit?

Units may be paid for in a number of ways, including, direct deposit, cheque or credit card, or in cash at our onsite office.

Are the units clean, dry and free of pests?

Storage units are specially designed and regularly maintained to ensure they are kept dry and secure. Every endeavour is made to provide a pest free environment, including a regular preventative fumigation programme.

How much notice do I need to give when moving out?

Seven (7) Days notice is required prior to vacating your unit.

What is Rushcutters Wine Storage Service?

Rushcutters wine storage service is designed to enable our members customers to store their wine in a convenient location, offering optimal conditions at highly competitive rates.

Will my wine be properly stored?

Our facilities use the best technology available to maintain an ideal constant temperature of 12 - 17 degrees and 65% - 75% humidity. An 'air curtain' ensures that these conditions are not disturbed when the cool room is accessed. Vibrations are minimal because the floor was designed to be perfectly flat with the aid of laser beams. Conditions are monitored 24 hours a day by the onsite manager.

Will my wine be secure?

The Rushcutters facility is monitored 24 hours a day by internal and external video surveillance equipment. Within a secure complex, the climate controlled facility can only be accessed via biometric finger scanning. The vaults are private and only you hold the key.

Where are the Wine Storage facilities?

Rushcutters wine storage facility is conveniently located in the Eastern suburbs, at 30-62 Barcom Avenue, Rushcutters Bay. The efficiency of our integrated retrieval and delivery system means that you will always have ready access to your wine without the need to deliver or pick it up yourself.

How do I put my wine into Wine Storage?

  • You can put wine you own into Wine Storage by:
  • Bringing your bottles to our facility
  • Organising for it to be picked up from your home
  • Getting it delivered to our facility

What does Wine Storage cost?

Our Wine Storage rates are highly competitive. Your specific rate depends on the number of bottles or cases in storage and the, period of storage and other factors. Simply give us a call and we will give you a quote based on your needs.

Is insurance available?

Yes. Storage insurance is available.

What are my payment options?

We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express (there is a 3% surcharge for American Express). You may also pay by cheque or bank transfer.

  • Payment by credit card (Autopay)

Most storage customers choose the convenience of an automatic monthly payment. Your card is charged on the 1st day of each month for storage in advance and any handling or packaging fees incurred during the prior month. You receive a complete itemisation of all charges sent via email.

  • Payment by credit card (Non-Autopay)

If you prefer not to enrol in Autopay, you may still pay by credit card. You receive a detailed invoice on the first of each month via email. Just logon to your account, click on the link to your invoice and enter your credit card details to pay.
